This is a beginners tutorial on how to quickly take a Photoshop composition and export it in functional .htm format using the slice tool in Fireworks Cs4. Now please note this is a very basic instruction designed for people unfamiliar with Web Design. But for you veteran Web guys out there, remember presentation is everything, and this is a sure way to impress your clients with functional compositions that… well… function! I will continue to expand on this tutorial more and more as time goes on, highlighting some of the newer more extensive integration between Photoshop and Fireworks. I hope you like this tutorial and please don't hesitate to stop into www.neacedesign.com as I slowly and steadily build up a nice library of tutorials for all of you design enthusiasts!

Thankyou, very clear and easy to understand. Well done.
Awesome tutorial! Got the master suite for christmas and was stoked, but after I started playing with it I was overwhelmed like mad. This was an AWESOME help. You earned yourself a subscriber and five stars, sir!
Great tutorial. i watch this about a month ago and have been extensively working in fireworks and confident on my work in it. When i make a website for a client, i hardly even need photoshop. except for making a logo, some gradients, etc. i love how in FwCS4 adobe made it so easy to align, move around, etc. objects. anyways, thanks for the headstart. 5/5.

I’ll definitely look into more when I have some free time. I imagine it’s possible.
Thanks for watching my man
The simplicity of the tut was awesome. I love fireworks! Have you been able to figure out how to create a web design so that you can also embed a video into the code-like you tube for example.
Thank YOU! I really appreciate it!
